October News

Happy World Mission Sunday! Today we celebrate missions around the world!

  • The Shippensburg University Career Fair was a success! We had 10 students sign up to volunteer. At the Diocesan Women’s Conference in Harrisburg, we made over $1,200 thanks be to God! THANK YOU to our benefactors who paid the $100 and $200 for each of the event tables and THANK YOU to everyone who came by!
  • The Diller Mennonite Church event was also a great success! Pastor Joe has been a massive blessing to me and to this project – he is continuing to connect me with other pastors and the local town as we spread the word about the project.

  • After my visit to Honduras at the end of September, I am excited to announce we now have two “brands” – Roil Coffee and introducing… Volcán Coffee! (more details here). Also, we are going to begin roasting our coffee at different levels to have light, medium, and bold coffee!
  • We still have plenty of fresh coffee and other products – let me know if you want me to come to your area to give a presentation about the project and bring these products!  Remember, the funds we receive for these products are ALREADY HELPING THE HONDURANS even before we open the physical shop! As for the shop, We need still to raise about $4,000 before we can open… please let me know if you can help… even just $10 a month! Donate here.

  • Volunteer Day Saturday, November 2nd: Multiple individuals will be coming to help throughout the day as we continue to fix up the shop – please let me know if you’d like to join us or just stop by! 9:00am to 12:00pm or 1:00pm to 4:00pm.  We’ll be painting, cleaning, insulating and much more. As always, we especially need “Mr. and Mrs. Fix-its” to repair minor things around the shop. Please bring a broom/cleaning supplies, shovel or power tools if you have them.
  • $200.00 is needed to have a table at the Catechists Conference Nov 9th (in 3 weeks).  Please let me know if you’d like to donate to allow us to attend.

  • Finally, I leave you with some more exciting news: The Catholic Witnesswill be interviewing me for a news article and video! This is a great source that reaches a massive amount of people (a providential connection that was made after I spoke personally with our Bishop). Please send prayers, that everything will go well and that many more generous souls will support this project so that God’s work may be fulfilled! Know you are in my prayers.

“Today the Church needs men and women who, by virtue of their baptism, respond generously to the call to leave behind home, family, country, language and local Church, and to be sent forth to the nations, to a world not yet transformed by the sacraments of Jesus Christ and his holy Church. The missio ad gentes, which is always necessary for the Church, thus contributes in a fundamental way to the process of ongoing conversion in all Christians.”
